Seven Beliefs of Success

I got this from one of my English forum. The book “Unlimited Power” by Anthony Robbins, chapter 5, the Seven Beliefs of Success:
The world we live in is the world we choose by ourselves either this choice is conscious or unconscious. If we choose happiness we will have it. If we choose misery we will have it. Belief is the cause of success. So the first step to success is finding our beliefs that would lead us to the results we are looking for. Here are some basic beliefs I found applicable for most people:
First belief: Everything happens for a purpose and a reason. Everything you come across carries at least a seed that surpasses the hardship.
Second belief: Nothing is called failure, there are results only.  This belief is almost the result of the first belief but it equals it.  It is accustomed that people fear to fail but we still remember that
sometimes we wanted something but we obtained something else. Think of it, if you have failed once on something, what have you gained from that trial? No doubt it is experience. Those we fear to fail they create something inside them that would hinder success and this is what stops them form reaching their aim.
Third belief: Take responsibility in all cases. This trait is found with all leaders. Leaders believe that whatever are the results are, good or bad; they are the result of their efforts. If it is not their own work perhaps their way of thinking is the reason. If you do not believe that you can create your own world then you are under the mercy of circumstances.
Fourth belief: It is not necessary to understand everything in order to be able to use everything. Great successors do not believe that they should know everything in order to use something.
Fifth belief: People are your ultimate sources. All successors are well-respected in the world. The way to success starts by gathering a team of your own so you can help and share things with
each other.
Sixth belief: Work is fun. Have you ever heard of a person who succeeds through doing a work he does not like? I do not know anybody. One of the keys to success is to like what you are doing.
Seventh belief: There is no success without commitment.  Successors are those who have strong belief in commitment. If you looked through history famous great people are not the smartest or the best or the fastest or the mightiest but they are strong believers in the importance of duty.

Fascinating Story

A lady in a faded gingham dress and her husband, dressed in a homespun threadbare suit, stepped off the train in Boston, and walked timidly without an appointment into the president of Harvard’s outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn’t even deserve to be in Cambridge.

She frowned. “We want to see the president,” the man said softly.
“He’ll be busy all day,” the secretary snapped. “We’ll wait,” the lady replied. For hours, the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn’t. And the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president, even though it was a chore she always regretted to do. “Maybe if they just see you for a few minutes, they’ll leave,” she told him. And he sighed in exasperation and nodded. Someone of his importance obviously didn’t have the time to spend with them, but he detested gingham dresses and homespun suits cluttering up his outer office.

The president, stern-faced with dignity, strutted toward the couple.
The lady told him, “We had a son that attended Harvard for one year.
He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. And my husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus.”

The president was not touched; he was shocked. “Madam,” he said gruffly. “We can’t put up a statue for every person who attended
Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery”.
“Oh, no,” the lady explained quickly. “We don’t want to erect a statue.
We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard.” The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit, and then exclaimed, “A building! Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical plant at Harvard.” For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. He could get rid of them now. And the lady turned to her husband and said quietly, “Is that all it costs to start a University? Why don’t we just start our own?” Her husband nodded. The president’s face wilted in confusion and bewilderment. And Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the
University that bears their name, a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

“You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who can do nothing for them or to them.”

Existance of God

A woman received a phone call that her daughter was very sick with fever. She left work and stopped by the pharmacy for some medication for her daughter. When returning to her car to find she had locked her keys inside.

She had to get home to her sick daughter, and didn’t know what to do. She called her home to talk to the baby sitter, and was told her daughter was getting worse. The sitter said, “You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door.”

The woman found an old rusty coat hanger on the ground, as if someone else had locked their keys in their car. Then she looked at the hanger and said, "I don’t know how to use this.”

She bowed her head and asked God for help. An old rusty car pulled up, driven by a dirty, greasy, bearded man with a biker skull rag on his head. The woman thought, “Great God. This is what you sent to help me???” But she was desperate, and thankful.

The man got out of his car and asked if he could help. She said, “Yes, my daughter is very sick. I must get home to her.

Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?

He said, “SURE.” He walked over to the car and in seconds the car was opened.

She hugged the man and through her tears she said," THANK YOU
SO MUCH…You are a very nice man.”

The man replied, “Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison for car theft.” The woman hugged the man again and cried out loud….
THANK YOU GOD FOR SENDING ME A PROFESSIONAL!” GOD I love you and I need you. Thank you for living in my heart.

Teach your children well

He will have to learn I know, that all men are not just'

All men are not true.

But teach him also that for every politician, there is adedicated leader

And for every scoundrel there's a hero ..

Teach him also that for every enemy there's a friend.

It will take time,I know but teach him,if you can,

Thata dollar earned is of far more value than five found

Teach him to learn to lose

And also to enjo y winning.

Steer him away  from envy ;if you can

Teach him  the secret of quiet laughter.

Let him learn early that the bullies are easy to lick .

Teach him if you can the wonders of books

But also give him time to ponder the eternal mystery

Of birds in the sky,

Bees in the flowers and sun on a green hillside.

"In school teach him it is far more honourable to fail

Than to cheat

Teach him to have faith ihn his own ideas ,

Even if every one tells him he is wrong

Teach him to be gentle with gentle people

And tough with the tough.

Try to give him the strength not to follow the crowd

When everyone is getting on the bandwagon.

Teach him to listen to all men

But teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth.

"Teach him if you can ,how to laugh when he is sad

Teach him there is no shame in tears.

Teach him to scoff at cynics and to beware of too much sweetness .

Teach him to sell his brawn and brain to the highest bidder,

But never to put a price tag on his

Heart and soul.

Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob ..

And to stand and fight if he thinks he is right.

"Teach him gently but do not cuddle him,

Because only the test of fire makes fine steel.

Let him have the courage to be impatient.

Le t him have the patience to be brave.

Teach himalways to have sublime faith in himself,

Because then he will always have sublime faith in MANKIND
