Why do we chant OM??

"OM" .the sound of universe. It is made up of the letters A(Phonetically as in around), U (Phonatically as in put), M (phonetically as in mum) i.e. "AUM".

The upper curve is the head, the lower large one, the stomach, the side one, the trunk and the semi-circular mark with the dot, the sweetmeat ball (modak) in Lord Ganesha's hand. OM bears an immence spiritual significance in our Indian culture. The importance of Gaytri Mantra is well known.

It has been scientifically stated that the sound of OM keeps on resonating in the cosmos. It echoes within the entire universe.

There exists cut-throat competition in the present scenario. The fever of the world is raising high. It is the need of the time for us that we all are jockeying to get the top position in our life. Amid the din of the city life we are becoming restless and uncomfortable. What we need today is just mental piece and a calm life. You all would have been thinking why I am going astray from the topic. Now come to the point

Just try to wake up at early morning as I do. The beauty of dawn is majestic and serene. I chant OM with pure heart at that time. It delights the inner soul of myself and invigorates me. I begin my day with full zest and zeal. You all would have heard about baba Ramdev's yogas and all. These all are very useful but I found them time taking and complicated for me so I simply believe in chanting OM with full concentration. It instills any kind of divine sensationwithin me and really I feel extreme gratification that the beginning of my day is smooth n pleasureful.
