The Lord Speaks - - - - - Bhagawat Gita

Arjuna Said: O descendent of Vrsni, by what is one impelled to sinful acts, even unwillingly, as if engaged by force?
The Supreme Personality of Godhead said: It is Lust only, Arjuna, which is born of contact with the Material Mode of Passion and later transformed into Wrath, and which is all-devouring sinful enemy of this World.
As Fire is covered by smoke, as mirror is covered by dust, or as the embryo is covered by the womb, the living entitiy is similarly covered by different degrees of this lust.
Thus the wise living entity”s pure consiousness becomes covered by his eternal enemy in the form of lust, which is never satisfied and which burns like fire.
The senses, the mind and the intelligence are the sitting places of this lust. Through them lust covers the real knowledge of the living entity and bewilders him.
Therefore, O Arjuna, best of Bharatas, in the very begining curb this great symbol of sin[lust] by regulating the senses, and slay this destroyer of Knowledge and Self-Realisation.
The working Senses are superior to dull matter; mind is higher than the senses; intelligence is still higher than the mind; and he [the soul] is even higher than the Intelligence. Thus knowing oneself to be transcendental to the Material senses, mind and intelligence, O mighty-armed Arjuna, one should steady the Mind by deliberate spiritual intelligence and thus-by spiritual strength - conquer this insatiable enemy known as Lust.

To these who are (thus) ever devoted to Me and worship Me with love, I give that Yoga of understanding by which they come unto Me.
He soon becomes righteous-minded and attains eternal peace: O Son of Kunti, proclaim (to the world) that My devotee never perishes.
Everything can be achieved through bhakti alone. Those -who want the Knowledge of Self will certainly achieve that also by following the trial of bhakti. Can a man blessed with the grace of God ever lack Knowledge? AtKamarpukur I have seen grain-dealers measuring paddy. As one heap is measured away another heap is pushed forward to be measured. The Mother supplies the devotees with the “heap” of Knowledge.

After attaining God, one looks on a pundit as mere straw and dust. Everything can be realized simply through love of God. If one is able to love God, one does not lack anything.“— Sri Ramakrishna
